Ready to step out of the pool and into nature? Explore our list of nearby hiking trails during your stay at Serenity Springs. Whether you're an avid hiker or just in need of a leisurely walk, these trails are a breath of fresh air.



  • Columbia Trail (10-minute drive) - This 15-mile rail-trail is perfect for a walk or bike ride.


  • Round Valley Recreation Area (20-minute drive) - Various trails to explore, with views of the beautiful reservoir.


  • Ken Lockwood Gorge (15-minute drive) - Walk by the Raritan River, and maybe even fish a bit.


  • Sourland Mountain Preserve (30-minute drive) - Trails for all levels, with rocky terrains and thick forests.


  • Spruce Run Recreation Area (10-minute drive) - Family-friendly with trails, fishing, and boating.


  • Voorhees State Park (25-minute drive) - A hike with a view from the observatory, don't forget your camera!


  • Musconetcong Gorge Preserve (30-minute drive) - Ideal for those looking for more rugged trails.


  • Schooley's Mountain Park (20-minute drive) - Explore the paths and find a charming waterfall along the way.
